After doing a motherboard replacement I forgot to set the date/time;
Operating System : Windows 7 Professional 64-bit Trying to perform a Windows Update resulted in the following: "Windows could not search for new updates." Error(s) found: Code 80072F8F Windows Update encountered an unknown error
Clicking "Get help with this error" took me to a system readiness tool for Vista!
Setting the date and time did the trick!

Task: Restore an Acronis True Image Home Backup of an old Dell Laptop to a newer IBM Thinkpad X300
Â
Upon restoring, Acronis displayed an error about an unresolved device.
Rebooted and the laptop had a bluescreen error :Â "Stop 0x0000007B"
I assumed this was a hard-drive driver issue and decided to do an XP repair. Â (the second repair option)
Upon attempting repair Windows XP, the windows install disk(Windows XP Pro) was unable to find the hard-drive. Â Researching this suggested setting the hard-drive mode to be compatibility-mode. Â Another item suggested disabling mult-processor mode.
I made the change but the stop error persisted.
After setting compatibility mode I was able to restore the Acronis True Image Home image without receiving the error. Â I thought this might resolve the problem... but still the stop error appeared. Â I next disabled multi-processor mode and was able to boot successfully.
Microsoft wanted immediate re-activation and this required changing the key first using the button/option provided.
Success.

Problem : OWA not starting/no phone sync to OWA
Review of the event log showed the following:
Event Type: Error Event Source: W3SVC-WP Event Category: None Event ID: 2268 Date:  Time:  User:  N/A Computer: Description: Could not load all ISAPI filters for site/service. Therefore startup aborted.
After some reading determined that the SBSFLT folder had been accidentally moved. This didn't break functionality until the server was rebooted about a month later.
Resolved : Moved folder back to it's original location and rebooted.
